Pre and post diagnostic support

Online video based session using Google Meet. Discussing your concerns, understanding your priorities and building increased awareness of young persons strengths and needs to support your young person to thrive.

Waiting lists can be long but there is lots that can be figured out while you wait. A pre-assessment screening can help to identify areas of strength and need which allows targeted strategies to be put in place.

Once you have a diagnosis it is not unusual to feel a bit lost.  Signposting and advise is often generic.  I can help you understand what a diagnosis means for your young person and how to move things forward to ensure any supports and accommodations are in place. I can work with you to manage the many significant transitions which occur throughout the school years empowering you to advocate for your young person.

Screening assessment

Sometimes families are considering assessment but are unsure of whether they are ready to commit to a private assessment or are struggling to have a referral accepted by CAMHS.  A screening assessment will provide a broad overview of a young persons profile, providing evidence that further assessment is/is not indicated and can be supportive in decision making for next steps.

A screening assessment will include:

  • exploration of young persons developmental journey

  • screening for autism/ADHD and any wider factors to be considered

  • where possible, an observation of your young person

  • a summary report and discussion about next steps.

Assessment plus report and feedback £450
